Friday 8/22/08 Smoke's!
Hi everybody! I am taking the day off. I started with TFH (Two-Friends-Heritage C&D) in my L'Anatra 7 inch Canadian whilst I walked my two miles on the treadmill watching Fox News. Will be smoking all day and enjoy TFH and CBB (Captain Bob's Full Flavored Blend C&D) in an assortment of 15 pipes I have in rotation. May your day be blessed with good fortune and pleasurable puffing!

I've smoked the works...
today in a Savinelli bulldog and a Canadian type that I made myself. It's been Big & Burley, RG, OJK, SWR, and Scots Heather. A few more hours of good smoking left.

Good evening MPC
I have Morley's Best in a gargantuan Randy Wiley Egg that I'm doing my best to keep in my chops while typing this. It has been a glorious Spring day, capped off by a barbeque with equally gargantuan rump steak from a mate of mine's beef farm. Good stuff, especially at $3.50/ lb. One of the joys of Africa. Enjoy your weekend gentlemen.

Good evening gents,
Filled a group 5ish bulldog, bit more than a 4 and not quite a 5 with some of the Briar Fox that I opened yesterday. It is quite a good VA but "go slow" is the watch word when smoking this. I was cruising along quite contentedly when ... you guessed the phone starts ringing. I hate my smoke being interrupted but giving in the the annoying ringing I answered it. I let the pipe sit. About 10 minutes passed and it was barely lit, thumb over bowl I stoked it, I am getting a totally different smoke, a bit softer and a bit more mellow but noticeable quite different. Perhaps it is time that I tried an intentional DTG, ah just another of the many blessings of briar and leaf.

My Blend
Affectionately dubbed SR v 1 dabbling in the semi-aromatic burley realm. I smoked this stuff almost exclusively today, there are still some tweeks to be made but overall pretty decent for a first swing. I'm now experimenting with various burley bases (for use in future versions). This one is pretty stiff lots of with all the vitamin N a growing codger needs. This blending stuff is actually quite good fun.

Oh, Boy! ... another codger bites the dust!
This blending stuff is actually quite good fun.
Careful GI, that's how I got addicted to MMO (making my own)! The next level for you will be "sauces" and they are expensive! However, if you get your blending tobak's from C&D, he will tin a bit of sauce for you to experiment with if you ask. That way it is affordable. Just be careful because it is so much fun you may end up doing what I am doing these days... That is, ordering five-pound bags of my custom premixed blend and putting it in mason jars. That hedges against price increases and allows the tobacco to age in the process. Then, as I open a jar, I add the "bit-o-flavor".
Have fun with it... I can see you are hooked, now!
