I have this lovely school...with a lovely terrace that overlooks the Mediterranean...and it is just lovely to sit out there and smoke a pipe...well..tonight was no different...I went out there to smoke a pipe full of F&T cut blended plug...and wouldn't you know but it was windy as heck...a bowl that should have lasted over an hour and a half...well it was reduced to about 40 minutes of hot difficulty...even with the bowl covered...shielded by my hand and sitting in the corner against two walls there was still wind whipping all around me...anyone have any ideas on how to smoke when it is windy like that...and unfortunately with france's new smoking laws...inside is not an option...at least not in the dorms at school...

Ok...so now I feel like I have gotten a good summer project...I just won my second older kaywoodie (and if this one is actually a KB&B...then it is definitely older)...

but that makes two kaywoodies for me to restore this summer. I have two and a half months of internship down in San Francisco coming up...so I will have my evenings to get these things looking beautiful...then my plan is to get some good old fashioned codger burlies...and experience all that it is to truly smoke a codger burley...anyway...one week until I am back in the US and can get started on that journey...and with two pipes...I feel like at least one of them is bound to end up really nice....

i may be a little cramped here in my apartment in Copenhagen, but I think I have figured out how to draw/study...a beer, a pipe, and MPC on the comp...

wow...this evening I did something I don't normally do...and that is to smoke two bowls back to back...the first was MacB Mixture in a large no-name danish Billiard...and the second was OJK in a (large by danish standards) Stanwell Billiard...well...now 3/4 of the way through this second bowl...my head is spinning...apparently I cant deal with the nicotine levels that I just ingested...a new experience for me...I have never had a problem with this...and I can remember one night about two years ago when two friends and I (while out drinking) managed to smoke two packs of marlboros in about two hours...so there has got to be some major kick in the pants with this OJK...anyway...anyone else had a blend that kicks you in the butt?

I have finished with another project!...I just turned in my most recent project...an infill here in Copenhagen...it is a five story graphic design studio that fills the gap between two buildings at the end of the lakes on Østerbrogade...anyway...it is nice to be done...and I will soon go to sleep...which I haven't done in a few days...just as soon as I get done smoking this pipe (a stanwall 07 year pipe with McC #22) which I also haven't done in a few days...and I will also use this as a point to tell you that if I am not around much for the next three weeks or so...that is because I am going the Sweden, Finland, and France...in a series of study tours with my school...and also a week of skiing tacked on at the end...but that is beside the point...anyway...

I caved in just now...walked down to the B&M on Strøget and bought a Dunhill...it is a nice one too...a beautiful group 4 #103...shell briar with a wonderful silver band that has a sort of diamond cut pattern in it. I tried to find a picture, but I haven't found one yet...maybe I'll have to take one and put it up here soon...

now for the question...and for fear of sounding stupid...but I have never had a Dunhill...and I don't know anyone (in so much as I can hang out with them and see their pipes) who has a Dunhill...but...there is something there that isn't any of my Tinskys or Stanwells...or any other pipe that I own...
