Loading Up and Getting Ready to Go
We've made the decision to go ahead and proceed with our plans. Last night ended up being a rain event. Today has been wind. I found a rather large tree branch in the back yard earlier and I've blown down the drive way.
I will have a large amount of yard waste to deal with...leaves, small branches, lots of pine cones...next week when we return.
Also went for a walk about the neighborhood, having some 1792 in a bent Sav billiard (Champagne).
Fortunately everyone seems to have fared equally as well - lots of yard waste.

1792 !!!
I had the impression from your other post that you were new to pipes ... was I wrong? If I wasn't ... uhhh, just a word of caution about 1792 ... go slooooooooooow and have a full stomach before trying it.

New?
No...just new to the board...and yeah, well aware of the 1792 kick. I let it dry a little first as well.. tends to make the reaction a bit less when you've not smoked it for a while.
Ah! Well, you can imagine why I tried to warn you then
LOL ... I had this image of a pipe newbie smoking a pipe full of 1792 until it was furnace red ... oh my gosh ... we'd have read about you in the morning news: "Tobacco kills innocent man, film at eleven!"

1792
It is quite self regulating, I find it hard to believe someone actually manages to smoke this one red hot :)
great start to a career in pipe smoking, keep it up :)
This is my Pipe. There are many like it, but this one is MINE.
My pipe is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
My pipe without me is useless. Without my Pipe, I am useless
And deservedly so
Rick:
Thanks man! No I managed to keep it from getting red hot...I knew that would be the challenge with the wind. The Cap'n said that sanity was not a requirement for the board, so we now know where mine stands.
I may not know every variety out there, I do know 1792.

Red hot...no..
I never thought of pipe smoking as a career before, hmmmm. I'm no novice though, but certainly won't claim to be a seasoned expert either. And I fully intend to keep it up!
Guess I owe you guys some sort of "get to know Kev" post.
