Oregon Pipe Club?

Josh,Check out Pipes & Tobacco magazine's website.They have a list of most active clubs in the US...If their is'nt one in your area,you could always start one yourself?  Be a pioneer! Brave new and unchartered paths!

I'd enlist the help of a local tobacco shop...

I have been searching for a club in my area (Southern Californai) as well and am coming up with nothing that is even in the same county. I agree with Dock that our only option is to start one.

I did find United Pipe Clubs of America

but nothing for Oregon or my area in Californa. They did mention your club and newsletter, though, Dock.

Starting a pipe club is'nt as hard as it sounds and can be alot of fun.I started my own a few years ago which thrived for about a year until smoking laws chased as out of Connecticut!First I'd make up adverstising flyers and distribute them anywhere where tobacco is sold.Then you need a meeting place and preferably somewhere that serves diner first: ) Once you get a small dedicated group of members everything will fall into place.Consider collecting club dues too.Use the money to buy raffle prizes...

I have a bit of a predicament on my hands, as I am only in eugene for another ten weeks, and then I will be in San francisco for six and then Copenhagen for a year and finally back to Eugene for another year...and after that...well who knows.  So starting a pipe club of my own will be interesting...as I will have to get someone to take it over just as it gets started...Maybe if I can find someone who will be around while I am gone, and as partners start it...then it will be going for a while before I leave and hopefully well entrenched by the time I get back.  who knows...or I might just wait until I am back from Denmark...but I think I might be writing to ask for pointers if this thing gets going...(if that is ok)...
