So, another Wednesday
and the first smoke of the day for me is ERRd in an Emerald Peterson #65, bent which is usually not for me but the shape looked good, it is well-balanced and it is small enough not to bore through the smoke. No promises for today, friends.
Late at night or early morning, it seems that the day has an auspicious quality, a canvas unpainted, a page unwritten, the potential to burst in an infinite paths. There are one we need to take.
Fair winds and full pipes.

is 2010 is a Ser Jacopo. A fine smoke, although the backy could use laying down for a few months. The weather has cleared somewhat & it's warmed. My Bob, but you do rise early. In contrast to the auspicious quality of your day, with the oh so desirabley definitive single path, my day appears muddled, befuddled, at odds with itself. I'll retreat & keep my head down. There is safety in the trenches, if not joy.
and others at MPC. A chilly morning in the Connecticut Valley but a great ride to work with some Pegasus and Riverboat Gambler in a B-C Daccord.
I am currently pondering last evenings smoke before bed...Morleyssons prototype in a Sav. Bings Favorite. Boy it was good and provided some unexpected delicious flavor. Did I get lucky? Was it the pipe? Has the tobacco rested & melded? Who knows but it was great.

The man can spin words into a beautiful bouquet. Actually, quite a few of you can do wonders with the English language.
Thoroughly enjoyed H&H in my basket ugly bent for the a.m. commute. I foresee some FVF in my Stanwell Zebrano Bulldog for the ride home.
Happy smoking all!

started the day by smoking the very last of the Half and half sample.
subsequent bowls have contained brown pigtail and dark birdseye
If I have not seen as far as others, it's because giants have been standing on my shoulders.
after a good braai and a bottle of red wine and stuffed a billiard with pure Latakia. Really a great satisfying smoke after a rough day. Definitely not for the feint-hearted. This was the first time I tried Latakia on it's own and not only as a 5% additive to my daily smoke.
I just love the stuff.
If it can't cut, it's a pipe!
Half&Half in Country Gentleman to start the day. Heading off to work shortly. There is a feeling of Autumn in the air, it's a cool day with a strong wind, but so far, no rain. Have a good one guys.
Burley all over the map, Big n Burley, Competion Blend, straight Dark Fired Burley (burley stew, burley and potatos, grits and burley, and a burley sandwich). All of course burned in old school KWs

first bowl of the day and my buds seem to want some more of the L and O weed, possibly because it has been a cool week and the mornings are not unlike September's. McClellends Oriental #8, a discard from Rick, into the same green freehand as last night's Nightcap. It is a bit light in the L department and not quite as stout as their #14, but it is a thick and creamy smoke and I am enjoying it. Thats about all that really matters anyway.
Later the plan is a couple of buckets of steamers and one of those red ocean bugs, some beers in the company of co-workers. Yes we all traded our Christmas party for a clam bake. Seems much more enjoyable for all, especially the few smokers we have, mostly gartards, but as we say "smoke what you like, long as it's not dung".
Enjoy your night.
Fume in pace, ckr
Morley's Best in a Tinsky blast billiard (superb combination!) and another good one in H&H Ten To Midnight in a Jan Zeman North Cape. Happy hump day, folks!

Finally a quiet evening at home. I think some Edgeworth in the four-digit is in order. I have a feeling I will be doing a lot of reading tonight.

the evening.
a day full of filter design...
I have smoked some Big n Burley blended with Dark birds eye, and some black pigtail.
nice stuff, and it seems that all ropes have a common denominator in taste.. don't know how to describe it yet though
sleep well, and good night

Watching the Blue Jays, Yankees game while enjoying some FVF in a peterson bulldog. Enjoyed the pipe more than the game. My Blue Jays 5-1. Now to sit back and enjoy some Squadron Leader while watching the olympics live. How about that Usain Bolt .

Usain is something else. A cocky SOB, but a hell of a runner.
I need to open up a spot in my 12 for one of my tins of Squadron Leader. It has been awhile since I smoked any.

I just keep loading up Edgeworth in the Kaywoodie. I dried the heck out of this last bowl and while it is burning at a perfect, slow smolder, it has lost a lot of its nice, nutty flavor.

Last smoke of the day is Captain Bob's Blend (CBB), been experimenting with a new grape sauce Craig Tarler (C&D) sent me. This stuff is more powerful than what I was using from another supplier so I must be careful with it. I don't want CBB to become an aro. However, I got it figured out and it is a perfect match for Captain Bob's Full Flavor Blend.
I have communicated with Craig on the application of the "top-note" flavoring so as to keep the correct balance. If any one is ordering CBB to sample it, Craig knows how I want the touch of grape added.
This is a light Latakia blend with Black Cavendish, Red Virginia, Carolina Brights, Turkish (Izmir) and Perique. The drop of flavor brings out the best in the mixture of high-grade leaf. It is considered a non-aromatic and full flavor blend.
