Sunday, Sunday, can't trust that day....

58F and clear in Phila this evening, and the Boston/Tampa Bay game stumbles on since 2000 EDT (4 hours, 35 mins now). The night calls for H&H in the Rouser, w/ diet Coke on the side.

And, are your pipes filled and primed for smoking?

Must be a Half-n-Half night.

We bought an ice cream freezer today and put it to use this evening. Just finished a bowl of home made ice cream and starting a bowl of H&H in an Armellini poker.

Sunday in Wisconsin will be 75 degrees!

... Must be Indian Summer. Then we can get out the snow shovels. Last smoke before bed (after midnight on Saturday) is Riverboat Gambler in my L'Anatra Full-Bent Gigante. A beautiful pipe but for most a "hand-holder". However, my jaw at age 58 still holds it firm as needed. Enjoy your Sunday smokes, my friends.

Riverboat Gambler...

on this Sunday morning. I realized it's been a while since I last smoked my Savinelli 2004 POY, so I brought it to work today.

Up and about.

There is a little more bounce in my step this fine day, knowing life's vessel passed it's annual inspection, I load the fruit of my labor with some absolutely delicious latakia laden crumble cake. The last of the beans has been ground and I await the jolt it imparts to me; rocketing me into the days activities with such vigor and zip to wily escape from doing anything constructive, spend the entire day evaluating the differences of tobacco in various pipes, sittin' and attending to more important matters, such as cheating at the crosswords.

Of course, I'll drop in to see how the rest of you are managing to do nothing.

good afternoon

Life is kinda good here, My al pascia burns some brown pigtail, but I did not have enough for a full bowl, so I parfait'ed it ith some ERRd. Just waiting for the transition now.

Some tale coffe on the side, listening to Autopsy - Destined to fester.

No math today.. I think I will take some care on my bayonet collection, it needs a wipe off, and some new gun grease/oil. one of the blades is stained by someones fingerprints. One way of becoming remembered around here, I can assure you that.

How Bout Them Rays!

What a long game, now I know why I don't watch more baseball. Anyway, good to see the Rays win, hopefully my Bucs can continue the trend this afternoon by beating the Carolina Panthers. That rivalry is fast becoming like Dallas/Washington or Green Bay/Minnesota. Anyway burning some private stock today. Perhaps BnB or Competition Blend later this evening.

Pretty lazy day

Slept late, cleaned up the garage etc. Now I have a bowlful of OG in a Peter Klein creation. This pipe does extraordinarily well on flakes. Yes I know OG isn't a flake, but the pipe doesn't. Fixing up a big seafood feast tonight - fish, calamari & crayfish. Followed by Christmas pudding (don't ask). Just been invited to interview for a job in Abu Dhabi. Hoo boy! At least there's good offshore fishing! What do I do?

Cloudy Day here in Barcelona

...and tired for playing soccer more than 1 hour and a half yesterday... just keep me awake ( after a lunch of pasta and wine - a red and perfect Somontano- ... just keep me awake a Cavicchi with Saint Bruno Ready Rubbed....

Crisis...?? What Crisis??? =)

Eduardo.-

I slept in and don't plan on doing a single thing today.

I am looking out my backdoor at the leaf covered patio, but there are still leaves on the trees so why not wait and only clean them up once.

The grass needs cut but I just don't want to!

Hoses need to be rolled up and put away but (see grass cutting statement).

Hose bibs need wrapped and covered but (see grass cutting statement).

AC unit needs to be covered but (see grass cutting statement).

I ain't doin' nuttin today but load pipes, build fires in said pipes, and drink coffee.

"Tampering"

In the workshop making a few tampers. The damaged left claw is kinda ok for light work. Generally smoking all sorts of different things in all sorts of different pipes.
Off to bed now. Hope you all had/will have a good one.

Having finished my "not to do" list.

I have moved on to trying to decide what movie to watch this evening. Whatever it is, it will be viewed while smoking a 50/50 mix of PA and 5100 in a Savinelli Bordeaux. (A somewhat cheap pipe that sounds expensive.)

Tonight

My wife's out of town, my daughter's at a sleepover, and I'm out on the patio on a beautiful evening, a fire going in the firepit, my pipe filled with Navy Flake, listening to crickets and typing on my laptop. A rare quiet moment. I love Autumn!

late at night here

I have chopped up some kendal plug, to small cubes, it burns straight and clean...

anyone who favors a pure gentleman like VA, should try this. Especially Mr. Piatt should try this plug. Basically I think it is BBF, but the plug factor sets in, adding a dimension. Olivier better stay off this one, there are knives involved in the preparing ;)

ONE OF MY WORSE SUNDAYS

ONE OF MY WORSE SUNDAYS EVER, WATCH PANTHERS GET DESTROYED, AND WASHED DOGS, NOW WHERES THAT PIPE.........

Was a great weekend....

Buffalo was sunny and warm all weekend. 75 yesterday, and 75 today and hard to believe that two years ago today, we got hit with the Surprise October storm.

Spent most of the day Saturday at the shop. Got one more pipe roughed out, but for the most part, just hung out. Went down to Jamestown to the SO's parents and went to Pumpkin Ville today. Spent the weekend puffin on Walnut and the Prince. What more could you ask for.
