Thoughts for Thursday
Butera Kingfisher in a full bent billiard and it is time for some reflective thinking. My thoughts are Wouldn't it be nice if it was Saturday. If so, I could have another bowl after this one. Pipes and thinking are a great pair.
Anyone else having any thoughts? About this or anything.

I'm thinking it's Thursday already & I've got a few things I need to do this week yet. Most of it fiddly, arranging type stuff & a lot of admin. I have Solani Silver Flake in the Pete 2006 POY. It's a good smoke. I'm thinking about the hunting trip my mates & I are making to Botswana next Friday. That's a good thought. My son is coming with. Camp fires & the night sounds of jackal & hyaena. Wild places keep me sort of sane.
steal some cars, beating up random ppl using a base ball bat, or how about stealing an ambulance and run over ppl outside the hospital. All the fun things in life crammed into a computer game. The only thing wrong is that the character doesn't smoke a pipe :/
Forgot to mention that the tobacco for the day is Gawith Hoggarth & Co - Coniston cut plug.
This is my Pipe. There are many like it, but this one is MINE.
My pipe is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
My pipe without me is useless. Without my Pipe, I am useless
chore day. We are going away for the weekend so all the yard chores get done today so the yard looks nice while we are away (SGM logic).
Temps are much cooler here this week in the mornings. It was in the low 60s this morning and I wore a sweat shirt while on the porch smoking some nice World Tobac 341 in a beautiful 4k collection 84.
Regards,
Mike

Had my first bowlful this morning on the way to work--well, about half a bowl worth. Really grand stuff, strong though, knocked me on my tukus. I need to smoke that slower than my normal everyday PA.

Yeah, I had trouble taming the stuff in the beginning too...smoke slow, enjoy, and pay no attention to those heart palpitations, they'll pass too!

I think it is about time for some Penzance in a Stanwell 19.
It's a warm 102 F (almost 39 C for those of you with real measurement systems) here, but it feels pretty nice outside with the humidity at 20%. Drove most of the way home from work with the windows open and no A/C. I love summer.
EDIT: Went with Penzance in a Mike Brissett instead. First time with this combination. So far, so good.

in a blasted billiard.
102 and I would be locked up in a room with AC. I was looking forward for rain all week but I have not seen much of it. Tomorrow perhaps. Not that I like rain but I have seed down and am tired of watering it.

Well it's back to work tonight. Currently on the deck smoking Smyrna No. 1 a Cassano Dublin. Currently in the low to mid 70s in Central Virgina with very low humidity.
Out on the patio armed with a good book of course.
I was going to toss in a few chunks of Dark Star to spice up the 5100 but at the last minute I nixed that idea. The pipe is a small group 4 ... not enough room to be creative like that. Maybe in a larger bowl I'll give it a shot. But not tonight.

Real men can take the heat! Go get 'em Q. I'm with ya up into the mid 90s ... but the century mark is a tad much for me. Of course here in RI the humidity is always above 20% so who knows, I might be ok with it ...

It's looking to be a very busy day at work, with breaks few and far between. Probably spend what free time I have smoking Prince Albert in my smaller-bowled cobs.
intentions I had planned on the dungeon. Made a sandwich first and flicked on the TV. Wow, Troy, can't help it I love those kind of shows. Old Gowrie in the Slug for the first half and it looks like PSLNF fr the rest.
Alexander is on Saturday and Sunday. I forsee many bowls in front of the tube this weekend.

Have enjoyed many very nice but unconventional burlies of late (Uhle's Perefection Plug, Big n Burley, Epiphany, Riverboat Gambler, etc.) I decided to go back to dancing with who brung me. OJK all day today out of a four digit Kaywoodie and my butt ugly no name rhodesian. Mr. Krantz is indeed good company. Rev, if it makes you feel better, I kinda got a little case of the hiccups on the way to work courtesy of Mr. Krantz. My goodness but that stuff is good!

Even with the 100+ temperatures, it is not too bad in the shade with a nice breeze. Still hot, but not bad. As long as the dry air from western Texas is blowing in, it is nice. If the winds shift and the humid Gulf air moves in, it can get nasty.
Threw a half-bowl of Walnut into the Brissett. This pipe still is not broken in yet and the bottom half of the bowl is not keeping up with the top.

Work is about a quarter mile from the ocean and it is just remarkably hot and humid. My smoking has throttled down a bit as it is generally easier to dip snuff in the air conditioner than go out to the rain forest and smoke. I still manage four bowls or so a day but I'm sure I'll get back up to speed when it cools down a bit (probably like November). Having spent my last tour deep in the heart of Texas (Abilene) I remember the days fondly where all it took to be comfortable even in triple digit heat was to find some shade and crack a beer. Humidity takes away that capability entirely and it is just oppressively hot whether you're in the shade or out in direct sunlight.
