TOTM 2009??

I headed up the ToTM effort last December and will do so this year too. Keep a list ready of what you'd like to see on the ToTM list and when I call for it shout it out!

I would want cob plug in there.

and perhaps something from GH.

and perhaps something from McClelland.

Fingers in ears ... eyes tightly closed ... shouting "La La La La La" so I can't hear anything.

Please ... pretty please don't start listing tobaccos yet. We'll hit this in December.

Since we're on the subject - Rick, it might be beneficial if we stick our heads together a week before December or so, just to coordinate everything. I have a few ideas with TOTM 2009 in mind, but we'll get back to that [/cliffhanger]

Alas for poor Cliff left to hang by the evil Lars. I knew Cliff - or Cliffy as his friends called him - he was a regular kind of Joe (or Cliffy in this case). The kind of guy to shoot the breeze with you on the porch in the cool of the evening over a bowl of his favorite tobacco Mixture 79. He was the kind of guy you invited to the party - both for his fine companionship and so the smoke from his tobacco would keep the bugs away. With his hat cocked slightly off center and a mischevious grin he was always a favorite with the ladies. I remember this one time walking down by the river with Cliffy when up strolls these two sharks (Ckr please post that pic) and in under 5 minutes he had both of their phone numbers. Not being one to hog the glory he offered me my pick of the two. I won't go into the details but suffice it to say she HURT me so good. Ah, what a pal old Cliffy was.

Ok - someone else continue Cliffy's eulogy. (no silly, Cliffy doesn't exist - he's a figment of OUR imagination so lets give him a huge send off with a great eulogy)

OK, I can politely turn my head at can pooper shenanigans and even remain silent when that go to of Melvin Schwartz himself, Penzance comes up in casual discussion but I will not abide such casual inclusion of my oldest pipe tobacco nemisis, Mixture #79. If that is your choice of tobacco then have at it, I just don't need to hear about it (don't ask, don't tell, if you will). Then again on second thought, hearing stories of you all learning the hard way may just be entertaining. Let it be noted here and now that 1OldGI did his MPC duty by attempting to steer you all away from the absolutely most wretched pipe tobacco ever made anywhere. Let the games begin and oh, in case you didn't get my bottom line message, Mixture 79 absolutely sucks ass. And another important safety tip, the ghost this crap will leave in a pipe has a shelf life measured in light years. Don't smoke it in any pipe that you are not totally OK with tossing in the trash.

with failing eyes, weak ears, devastated buds and overworked nose there still a few cells of gray matter operational. Enough to recognize that not very tobacco should be tried. I equate this with that pineapple blend rp keeps telling me to try just so I will know what it is all about. I suppose that sometimes a lack of experience can be a blessing and that this is one of those times.

I am ok as long as you keep mixture #79...and its smoke away from me...a long long way away from me.

on another note...I have some ideas for real suggestions when the time comes
