Welcome to the Weekend: Saturday Smokes 28 June 08
Ah, cut back on smoking for a day or two and am currently enjoying some Haunted Bookshop from a KW Flamegrain Meershaum. Very nice indeed. Cup of coffee and I'm out to go clean up the pool. Have a great day

Started today with a sav billiard filled with Walnut. Had to go to the office so I loaded a Lorenzo Angera with ERR and a travel mug of Bold roast. Hitting the golf course after
work and will smoke Walnut until this evening. Tonight might relax with some English blends. Have a good one.
Regards,
Dave
Sure beats ciggs!
Four hours of my Saturday killed by my work. It is noon and the day is half gone. OGS/bent brandy and for some strange reason it is not putting a smile on my face as usual.

I am currently in Missouri and have been watching it rain 3.5 inches in the last eight hours. There is a break in the weather now, so I think I will head outside with a Stanwell full of Walnut. Unlike home, there is no smoking allowed in my Mother's house. My brother-in-law is here, fresh from Iraq, and he is a cigar and pipe smoker as well. I should have some company.
Have a great weekend, everyone.

Yup, thats me out on the patio with a good book.

Spent most of the morning outside cleaning up the pool. The heat however became horribly oppressive. Right now it's too damn hot for a living creature to be outside. Retreated to my den for a medicinal cocktail and a comfortable bowl of OJK.

and warm, about 90F at 1433 EDT. Jogging is definitely a 'no-go', as if it ever was an option, so I guess that I'm smoking 2000-era DPE in a Peterson X951 [Made in Ireland] billiard. I think that if smoking would be an Olympic event, I would try to qualify every four years, both individual and team.

I got the urge for C&D Blockade Runner. What a nicotine hit at the end of that bowl!!! Of course, I had two vodka's earlier in the evening and that may have had something to do with the buzz. I had quite a buzz on as I went up to bed. But, what a wonderful smoke that was. I aged it a year. Not an all day smoke! Today it is Two-Friends Heritage and Captain Bob's Blend in between. Seldom smoke a pipe twice in the same day. I almost always take a dry pipe for the next smoke. There is always something hanging out of my mouth!

Nothing but Half&Half and a couple of cobs. After being in the mid-80's for the past weeks, today barely reached 59F. It's cold, damp, with a thick fog. I get to work for 12 hours. Happy smoking guys.
So it was today. From a lousy start to a fantastic smoke. Haveing shot half the day the grass and yard work added to the misery. Once finished the living room was cool and the AC shut down. After about a half hour I just felt like a smoke and there sit'ith yon jar of Peretti's Oxford Flake which is normally a very good smoke. Filled my bulldog and lit it up an hour and 45 minutes ago. It rang every bell and blew every whistle and wowed me in every way possible.
Not the weed, not the pipe or my mood could have pulled it off. It had to be something celestial. Something has to be said for blend hopping.
