allowing actual "bad words", but acronyms is going too far IMO. There was an article in one of the local papers not long ago about how the motor vehicles department screens vanity plate requests. They read the letters backwards, forwards, each letter at a time,etc,etc.
These people would need to be experts in vulgarity...what a job!

What if they replaced the WTF plates with OMFG plates! I have seen OMFG used in chats with young people and it really disturbs me. I hope they can clean up their act if/when they grow up!

a woman I work with had bought her daughter a car, light pickup actually, and had it registered. For whatever reason it was not noticed at the registry or maybe her daughter picked them up. She went to put the plates on and the first thing she noticed was the first two numbers were "69". The last 2 were "96" so if she turned it upside down, well there it was again. I can't remember what the middle numbers were but she went to the registry and asked the woman there "Would you put these on your daughters car?"

Unbelieveably, the clerk didn't understand what the problem was until it was pointed out to her.

Back on Topic; In this instance I actually think the person in charge of making the plates was sending a message about what he thought about the PITA it was to change from blue to red. Just maybe.....
that is exactly what he was thinking.
