Hot Chocolate & Peterson Special Reserve
Now of course, I pick a tobacco that is offered in limited quantity and is also an Aromatic (How dare I)
I managed to get a couple bowls worth off my buddy Jim just so I could enjoy this at Christmas. Well, it happened by accident. Moms house, Christmas Eve afternoon, cooking, and I had not started on the happy juice yet. I decided to have a cup of hot chocolate, bundle up, and take a stroll in the snow and enjoy a bowl.
Well, the two went hand in hand.... maybe it was a fluke... but I will sure try it again. Something about the cocoa and the spices in the Special Reserve, they just worked.
Give it a shot, let me know if ya think I'm nuts... because you wouldn't be the first to tell me so.

There's definitely a connection between beverages and tobacco. I must confess that I haven't had a cup of hot chocolate along with a bowl of well ... anything - ever. I'm not at all surprised that a cup of hot chocolate would work well with your blend of choice. Actually ESPECIALLY with Special Reserve.
Peterson Special Reserve blend description from http://peterson.ie: "A mixture of golden, red and dark Virginia tobaccos in different cuts, rounded off with burley and black Cavendish. An irresistible, fragrant flavour of rum, coconut and macadamia nuts. Rich and spicy yet mellow to medium in taste."
Chocolate works perfectly well with all of those flavorings, and I'm sure we've all had a chocolate with at least one or two of the mentioned flavorings.
Coffee seems to work with a lot of blends as well, particularly VAs.

Is often the first one with my coffee in the morning. No doubt Lars, coffee is one beverage that seems to just agree with tobacco in general. Hell, even when I smoke the cigarettes <yak> they just go with coffee.
And you are correct, the flavorings of Special Reserve could not work any better with chocolate now that I think about it. Its like they were meant to be together !

You might expect you would hear from me on this one. My beverage of choice when smoking my Captain Bob's Blend is... you guessed it... grape kool-aid. The sauce I put on my blend is "Concord Grape"!

For me, hot chocolate goes surpisingly well with a lot of blends I've smoked. I especially like it with a Prince Albert/Carter mix. Never tried it with Captain Black White though. That may be kind of an overload.
