Got them all!
Well, well, well... I've just completed my TOTM order. Managed to get the whole caboodle from Pipes & Cigars - my not so resident pusher. And I have to admit that I threw in a pipe as well. Couldn't help myself really. OK, it's a cheapie - a Sav Meglio Bent Brandy. Gee, I'm a sucker for a new pipe. Best part of all is - my wife leans over my shoulder & says I better order a few good ones - it's my birthday in a few months time! No wonder I love that girl.

Have you ever had any problems in regards to getting the things you've ordered from US vendors? Most things I've bought from Europe(usually on e-bay) get here quicker than I expected.The only places I steer waaay clear of ordering ANYTHING from is Japan & China... It takes frigin' forever!!!!

The only US vendor I have any kind of experience with, is Amazon and they took forever to send anything anywhere. Other than that, I have had a few packages come to me from individuals and they always showed up within 5-10 days (usually around 8 days).
Normally I don't purchase anything from outside Denmark or Sweden, but for the tobacco club I made an exception.

As an interesting side note, I always order from Amazon US - the book prices are 30-50% cheaper than from any Canadian vendor, and the order is always here within a week, whereas Amazon Canada is usually 6-8 weeks delivery time...

My sole experience with international tobacco shipments was with synjeco. I believe it took about 2 weeks. I had expected the delivery to come with a Customs Duty Due slip and had estimated about another hundred for the order. Did not happen, I hope Slartie gets off so easy and is so I am sure it will not be the last order placed.
I would recommend that the Solani Silver Flake gold foil pouch is placed in a mason jar, never could figure why it is just a foil pouch.

They're all screened (x-ray'd) at the airport in Johannesburg & are delivered by - wait for it - Sam. Sam arrives unannounced at the gate of the housing complex with the good stuff. If you're home, you're in luck. If you're not, you get a slip with his (personal) mobile number. I always slip him 20 bucks. It helps Sam play it again.
Life on the dark continent is not without its charm.
