Don't think I've ever been the first to welcome any new folks here but welcome aboard Okie. We're a friendly bunch here and while we can't always agree on what is best to smoke (pipes or tobaccos) at the end of the day we all seem to respect each other's decisions as being uniquely there own. A great arrangement really, one of the only sites on the web where Dunhill guys and Kaywoodie guys can live in peace. Where can poppers and codger burleyphiles can enjoy an atmosphere of light hearted ribbing without serious offense being taken on either side. I think you'll like it here. Great to have ya!

Hope you have fun and post often!
Cheers,

You've found a neat site! Glad to have you aboard.

Ah, a new pipe smoker. Welcome to you, Okie. I still consider myself a novice, so I have a fresh memory of what you are going through at the moment. Above all else, keep experimenting and enjoy the ride. I'm four years into it and I still have a lot to learn.
You'll find a lot of valuable information on the forums, but also a lot of senseless chatter. That's us having fun :)

to the forum & to pipe smoking. Enjoy the banter & feel free to have your say.
Hi Patrick,
Welcome to the MPC. There are very few people who are not still searching for their perfect blend even after many years of pipe smoking. We have some real giants of the pipe smoking world and industry among our members. Hope you enjoy reading their comments as much as I do.

Hi okie,
Allow me to welcome you as well to the board where those who smoke a pipe are well-treated, no matter where they're from. That includes OK City.
In a sense we're all new to the hobby, it's a feeling that never goes away. And I should know, I'm in it for 8 years now ...
Looking forward to see your posts!
Cheers!

You will find friends here in a big way. I value their personal friendship more than a lot of people I know in person. Yes, you have friends here and the pipe is our common denominator. Enjoy and post often. I seldom miss a day, myself! MPC has become a staple in my life!

Now look what you did ... you joined up with a bunch of nuts! Glad to have ya with us. Regarding tobacco selections - well, just watch the daily smoking threads to see what we're all smoking and don't be afraid to ask questions about the listed tobaccos. You might also want to take a look at our Tobacco of the Month program (see the top right of this screen). We all spoke up and listed our favorite tobaccos last year and that list is the results of that discussion. Feel free to jump onboard with that anytime - no strings attached. Or, if you don't want to shell out the cash for the tobaccos listed at least browse through what we all had to say about them (our reviews). Anyway ... welcome!

It's a great group of friends here at MPC and you're welcome to join us.

always room for one more. Hope you enjoy this place as much as me and most of the others. We talk pipe and tobacco a lot, some other items as well but you do have to keep an sharp eye peeled for the "cane".
Fume in pace, ckr
But welcome Patrick. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
