New to the group
Hello all. I look forward to being a member of this forum. Here are some of my particulars:
Pipe. I have a rather well developed selection of Castello shape 84s.
Tobacco. I like burley flakes and english/oriental blends. Right now, it's Solani Aged Burley Flake and I have a couple of english/oriental blends open: Balkan Sobranie 759, World Tobac 341 and PCCA Orient 996.
Fire Stick. I generally use matches but have a Dupuont lighter with pipe nozzle.
Favorite pipe shows. C.O.R.P.S. in Richmond and CPCC in Chicago.
Other interests. I ride motorcycles and I like to hunt deer and play golf.
Profession. I am a retired soldier.
Regards,
Mike

Glad you chose to join our group - I'm sure you'll find the atmosphere welcoming and pleasant around these parts!
Just a heads up for ya ... this site is going to go through a few bumpy roads for the next month or so. Brian (Caydel) is revamping the site to make it way better so we've all been warned about some glitches that may occur for a little while ... just thought you should know ... either way, we'll be here for the long haul and its a pleasure to know you're part of the team now.

Welcome Mike. It's nice to have you here. Now I have not one, but two places where I can annoy you. Wonderful.

Welcome to the site. Good to have another hunter around. What you shoot with?
I primarily use two rifles. My first up gun is a Dakota Arms 76 in 7mm-08 Remington caliber. My second up gun is a Sauer 200 in .270 Winchester. I use a 139g bullet in both. I could probably do with a smaller bullet for our size deer here but it's a good round and should I go further north where the deer are larger, I don't have to make any adjustments.

Glad to see a new poster. I don't post a whole lot myself, but after sampling 2 or 3 online pipe forums, I've decided that Doc Perry has some pretty good judgment and followed his lead, landing me here. The format takes a bit of getting used to but it looks to be a good place to discuss pipes, tobaccos or whatever else comes to mind.
Have a great week.
It does take some getting used to, that's a given, but given a little time, I find it a much more relaxed format than most other sites. Welcome to you too Grampa if I happened to miss your arrival.

Welcome Mike. I'm pretty new here too, but enjoy reading the posts. Like Grandpa, I've dabbled in a number of other forums. I do like this one. Looking forward to your posts.
