Some of you might be wondering...

I had said I would be absent this week to sell simulators in the booth at EAA. Well, I showed up to see our new simulator and sell. However, I was informed by my two partners that they have formed a new company beginning with this new jet simulator for just the two of them (leaving me out). They said the infamous RC-1 I created would remain in the existing company but no "new products" would be engineered by them in that company as was originally intended. Reason? Greed! They want the profit for themselves. They could have issued themselves additional stock in the original company in exchange for the capital they invested in the new company and then reaped proportionately larger dividends when the profits rolled in. But, that was just not good enough and they did all this on the "sly" until confronted. Oh, they offered me a handsome commission if I sold it for them?

I said this is not about commission. It's about what is unacceptable in the corporate world even if what they did is not (necessarily) illegal. I'm OUT! And, I am back at my insurance agency producing income and not feathering their cap any longer.

They have received formal notification from my attorney to buy me out. Now they can put their money where their mouth is!

You may have noticed I have taken our website off my signature page.

There is a saying, "Don't worry, nothing ever turns out all right, anyway"! I'll still fly, and do all the things I did before, except I am going to be out of the simulator business (for a while, anyway). I have no covenant not to compete. Now that would cost them if they want that!

Thanks for listening. Now, maybe I will be buying a White Dot! I will be able to afford it.

Don't be troubled Bob

It's a dirty world out there. And yes, the name of the game is greed. Far better to let them play their cards now. Karma generally has a hand of its own. Best to live the simple life, unfettered by fools. Let them be. And revenge is not worth it. Now the white dot - that may be. Haven't got mine yet. There's a beautiful estate on smokingpipes....

That is a shitty deal.

Hope you have the pleasure of serving them crow!

The creeps!

Well, if they act that way do you really want them as partners? I say no. Scrape them off the bottom of your shoe and move on. Be a competitor? Sure if it won't eat you up from the inside trying to beat them out of revenge.

The Dunnie ... you know you want it ...

Thanks for the support. I truly doubt I would want to start all over again. I have enough to do. Besides, I really am not a revenger. That attitude ruins people and I'm too smart for that. I will settle the matter and not let the attorney's get a big chunk. If it's reasonable, I'll take it and move on. I do not want a fight.

Today was the day...

Met with the Partners of the aviation company. The existing company will dissolve and the proceeds will be split. Two partners will continue the business in their new entity and the forth will continue selling the simulators as before in his company.

We were (and they will continue) to be very successful. In just under four years, my dream to create a low-cost simulator for professional training went from a mock up of my design to a total of gross sales in excess of 2,170,000.00 USD! And the future is very bright. The RC-1 AATD (Advanced Aviation Training Device) is FAA Approved and sales have made it the most popular AATD in the world. It is found in many counries around the world and the heaviest concentration in the USA.

To have a look at it, there is a picture of me, in my den at the controls, posted in my gallery on this site. The pricing of the RC-1 starts at $35,000 and goes up to $50,000.

As for me, I'll stick with my career as Independent Insurance Agent and concentrate all my efforts there. I've got 37 years as an agent and about twelve more to go before retirement at age 70.

As for the Dunnie, when I get my check in a few weeks, I just may get me one to see what the hell all the hoopla is about!

Thanks again for all your support. This has been a very difficult time for me. Closely held corporations with greedy partners can be a major pain in the ass! Soon, it will be behind me.
